Why you can trust this guide
Regulator-checked
A casino only appears here after we match it to the official register in that country, and we re-check every month.
No offshore sites
No Curaçao or Anjouan sites, no “not on GamStop” casinos. They offer no protection if something goes wrong.
Dated and sourced
Rules and figures are dated and linked to the regulator or law they come from.
Transparent
Read our editorial policy and advertising disclosure.
Stay safe
How to check a casino is licensed
Three checks, under a minute, before you deposit anywhere.
Find the licence
A licensed site names its regulator in the footer: the Gambling Commission in Great Britain, the SPA/MF in Brazil. For Ireland, see our Ireland guide.
Check the official register
Look the brand up on the regulator’s own list. Each country guide links straight to it. In Brazil, the web address must end in .bet.br.
Watch for red flags
Crypto-only deposits, “no ID needed”, “not on GamStop” or sign-up from any country are signs of an offshore site. Walk away.
FAQ
Online casino questions
Which countries does OnlineBestSlots cover?
The United Kingdom, Ireland and Brazil. Each has a regulator that licenses online casinos and a public way to check who holds a licence.
How old do you have to be to play online casino?
18 in the UK, Ireland and Brazil. Licensed casinos must verify your age and identity before you can play.
Are casinos “not on GamStop” safe?
No. A casino outside GamStop is not licensed in Great Britain, so UK player protections, stake limits and complaint routes don’t apply.
Why don’t you cover Australia?
Australian law does not allow online casinos to be offered to people in Australia, so there are no licensed sites we could list.
Where can I get help with gambling?
UK: National Gambling Helpline, 0808 8020 133. Ireland: GamblingCare.ie, 1800 936 725. Brazil: Jogadores Anônimos or your local CAPS. See our responsible gambling page.
Play responsibly
Set your limits before you play.
Licensed casinos must offer deposit limits, time-outs and self-exclusion. Use them from day one, and never chase losses.
